Brentwood is a popular choice for families thanks to its excellent school options nearby.
Schools serving the community include:
Brentwood School (K-6)

Sir Winston Churchill High School
St. Luke School
The area’s proximity to the University of Calgary also makes Brentwood attractive for faculty, staff, and graduate students looking for nearby housing.
Brentwood Safety & Reported Crime
Brentwood recorded 125 reported incidents in 2025, down from 138 in 2024, a decrease of about 9.4%. Using the community’s 2019 population of 7,267 as the denominator, that works out to approximately 17.2 reported incidents per 1,000 residents.
That rate was well above the median for established Calgary communities of a similar size. Vehicle crime was the most commonly reported category, while the overall trend was considered relatively stable despite the year-over-year decline in total incidents.
For buyers considering Brentwood, the community-wide numbers are useful context, but location within the neighbourhood matters.
Brentwood Market Update – September 2026
Detached Homes
Detached months of supply fell from 6.5 months in August to 3.2 months in September, bringing Brentwood almost exactly in line with Calgary’s detached average of 3.32 months.
Sales increased from 2 to 5 homes, while inventory rose only modestly from 13 to 16.
The sale-to-list ratio moved from an unusually high 102% in August to 97% in September. Calgary’s detached average was 98%.
The benchmark price rose from $754,200 to $779,800, an increase of about 3.4% month over month and approximately 2.2% year over year.
Because August had only two sales, the 102% sale-to-list figure was likely influenced heavily by the small sample. September provides a more representative picture of a balanced market.
Apartments
Brentwood’s apartment market improved notably from August.
There were 3 apartment sales and 14 units of inventory, resulting in 4.67 months of supply, down sharply from 10.5 months in August.
That placed Brentwood slightly tighter than Calgary’s apartment average of 5.29 months.
However, apartments sold for approximately 94% of list price, below the Calgary average of 96%.
The apartment benchmark price was $318,700, down from $324,700 in August and approximately 7.2% below September 2025.
So while inventory conditions improved, buyers still appeared to have negotiating leverage, and benchmark pricing remained softer year over year.
Compared with nearby northwest communities, Brentwood remains competitively positioned. Its detached benchmark price is below Varsity, Collingwood, Edgemont, Silver Springs, Scenic Acres, Tuscany, Arbour Lake, and Rocky Ridge, but above Bowness and Panorama Hills. This makes Brentwood an appealing option for buyers who want an established northwest location without moving into some of the higher priced surrounding communities.
